Some files exist just to support other documents. A contract amendment makes sense only if linked to the original contract, and an invoice proof of payment has to be linked to the invoice itself to be properly understood.

This is why Powertools enables users to add attachments to their documents. An attachment is another document, but which exists only to support the original document.

Files with attachments are noticeable thanks to the dedicated Powertools badge:

  • Files with attachments have the badge enabled:
  • Files with no attachments have the badge disabled:

When hovering the badge with the mouse pointer, users can see the number of attachments linked to this file.

Clicking on the badge will then open the Powertools window with the dedicated attachment section expanded. From there, users can see the list of attachments, download them one by one or in bulk, or edit them.
